It could be an internal state of mind kind of peace, a family state of peace, a community relation and neighbourhood kind of peace, or just the absense of conflict and war. Whatever it is, I think it can be achieved if we all work together to attain it. If we train armies of soldier and weapons to kill and destroy, so must we train ourselves to create life of peace, a culture of peace. It is a never ending struggle to attain humanity that will nurture our growth and harmony with each other. What better place to start it than in our homes and neighbourhoods, in our communities and hopefully Women of all ethnicities and cultures can come together here in New Zealand to work together to prepare our children to be the change we want to see in the world. I hope and pray that their world will be safe, will be caring, will be at peace. As women, our nurturing role in our society is called forth to voice out our concerns and work towards a Culture of Peace. We need to start with one step and hope that our journey takes us close to each other and also towards our hope of peace.
